Doug Tryck has invited the club to visit his gardens on Friday, June 14 beginning at 6 PM. He has a collection of hardy orchids that should be blooming by Friday. There are several gardens and they extend up the hill a bit so you will want to wear sturdy shoes. Don’t forget the appropriate clothing and mosquito repellent for this time of year in Alaska. Doug requests that children and pets not be brought to the property. His address is 3625 Rabbit Creek Road. You will find him about a mile up from the Seward Hwy and on the left. There is just a small sign for Tryck Nurseries and you will need to go through the large fence gates. This will be a guided tour so please try to be there on time so we can travel together.
